It is on the Right Bank of the Seine, on former wetlands that one of finest quarters of Paris, the Marais, developed. Le Marais is a small museum in itself, filled with history, with a really very rich architectural heritage with numerous magnificent private mansions dating from the XVIIIth century. Impossible to walk around Le Marais without making a detour via the Place des Vosges, full of charm with its art galleries and restaurants. Le Marais is a very picturesque and particularly lively quarter which it is pleasure to stroll around.
