Colmar is known as the Capital of Alsace wines. Every year, the town organises the Alsace wine fair, during which you can taste the best wines and enjoy concerts and gigs. Every year in June, Colmar is the arrival point of the Paris to Colmar walk. This is the longest walking race in the world with nearly five hundred kilometres to cover! At the heart of the town, you will appreciate a stroll in the picturesque district of the Petite Venise. As the night falls, the flower-decorated houses on the water's edge are illuminated to offer a superb sight.
Colmar is also famous for its Christmas market. At that time of year, the snow, lights and decorations give the town a magical charm.
