About this place

La Baule is a seaside resort on the Cote d'Amour. La Baule is known for its white sandy beach, which is over 8 kilometres long, located in the Bay of Le Pouliguen. Tourists flock here, to what is thought to be the most beautiful beach in Europe. On the seafront, you can walk along the flower beds and admire the pretty houses dating from the 1800s. At the Museum of the Salt Marshes, you can discover the working of salt works, the history and use of Guerande salt and the living conditions of salt workers in the 19th century.
