Saint-tienne boasts an exceptional historical heritage: the Tour de la Droguerie, the Bourse du Travail, the Town Hall and Prefecture and the Arms factory are just some of the items in that heritage. But Saint-tienne is also the city of innovation, hosting the Design City, home to all players from that field. The Modern Art Museum of Saint-tienne has a particularly rich collection of over 15,000 works by the greatest names in the history of art - Picasso, Fernand Lger, Andy Warhol and others. Saint-tienne offers many green spaces, the most pleasing of which is certainly the Jardin des Plantes botanical garden. Located on Villeboeuf hill, it provides a pretty view of the city centre and is where the Maison de la Culture can be found.
