 Roland Garros
The Roland Garros tournament is a not-to-be-missed event for countless tennis enthusiasts. This year, the competition is being held from May 24 to June 7. The best players on the tennis circuit will be there including Roger Federer, Rafael Nafal, Novak Djokovic, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga as they battle it out for the crown of the world’s best clay court player, a unique surface which has been the downfall of countless champions.

 Jazz Festival

Cannes International Film Festival
The 62nd Cannes International Film Festival will be held from May 13-24. This is the world's most famous film festival, and the one receiving the most media coverage. Although it is better known for its glitter, its stars and its famous steps covered with their red carpet, the Cannes Festival is also an opportunity for professionals from the worldwide film industry to get together for a very special gathering unique of its kind in the film market. This year, the jury will be chaired by the actress Isabelle Huppert.

Mont Saint-Michel Bay Marathon
Starting in Britanny and finishing in Normandy, the Mont Saint-Michel Bay Marathon welcomes 5000 runners from all over France, Europe and elsewhere. Over 30 different nationalities take part in this magical event, in a fantastic environment : The Mont Saint-Michel Bay, between Cancale and the foot of the Mount which is a UNESCO world heritage site. From the 15th to the 17th of May.

Mediaeval market of Orléans
The huge, colourful mediaeval market of Orléans will be held in the magnificent Campo Santo Gardens from May 7-10 with no fewer than 130 vendors present! The site, which will be specially decorated for the occasion, will be officially opened by Joan of Arc in person escorted by her two page boys. Throughout the event it will be home to knights’ camps, bakers (baking bread in a mediaeval oven), mediaeval games and jouvenceaux (mediaeval teens), troubadours and minstrels. A number of mediaeval taverns will also be on hand, where hungry visitors can quench their thirst and tuck into a hearty meal!
