Kandinsky
/ Untill August 10th Centre Georges Pompidou
This retrospective of Vassili Kandinsky which hold the largest collections of the artist's works. It brings together some hundred of Kandinsky's finished paintings, particularly the Impressions and the Improvisations. It offers a unique chance to look through the eyes of this painter born in 1866 in Moscow under the Czar, who died in 1944 in Neuilly-sur Seine, a French citizen. The exhibit also provides an update on the constant additions to the Kandinsky collection , exceptional watercolours and manuscripts for the "Russian" period 1914-1917, a portfolio from the Bauhaus for his 60th birthday in 1926…

Foire du trône / April 4th – June 1st Pelouse de Reuilly
The famous Foire du Trône country fair opens on April 4th at the Pelouse de Reuilly. One of the oldest fairs in France, it attracts a staggering 5 million visitors each year. A huge amusement park with more than 350 attractions like arcades and rollercoasters as well as more traditional attractions such as a large Ferris Wheel, acrobats, jugglers and fire-eaters. Love apples and other classic French candies should not be missed either.

From Siena to Florence, the Italian Primitives / Untill June 21th Jacquemart-André Museum
Considered to be one of the largest collections of Italian Primitives outside Italy, the exceptional works collected during the 19th century by Bernard von Lindenau are to be shown for the first time in Paris. Some fifty of these works, all painted by the greatest masters of the pre-Renaissance and early Italian Renaissance have been brought together for this exhibition which promises to be a revelation for the visiting public
