The Paris Marathon, Sunday, April 11, 2010
At 8:45 AM on Sunday, April 11, the starting shot will be fired for the 34th Paris Marathon. No fewer than 40,000 people will be taking part in this 42 km race through the streets of Paris, from the Avenue des Champs-Elysées to Avenue Foch, and taking in the Bastille, Nation, Vincennes, and the Tuileries.

The Printemps de Bourges (Bourges Spring) from Tuesday 13 to Sunday 16 April
The Printemps de Bourges opens the festival season. Winter has ended and it’s now time for the Spring, the season of music in generous doses. Music to be shared. This 6-day event programme includes: Diam's, Coeur de Pirate, M, Olivia Ruiz, Les Cowboys Fringuants, Nada Surf and Tété, etc.

The Fête de Jeanne d'arc (Joan of Arc Festival) from April 29 to May 9 in Orleans.
Numerous free festivities and events are planned including a mediaeval festival, a mediaeval market, concerts, exhibitions, sound and light shows, a procession from the provinces, a military parade and a commemorative procession. Take care however: some of these events are only available by reservation so book now!
