The animal exhibitions are divided into different sections; for example, downstairs are the marine wildlife section and in the middle of the first floor are the African animals.<\/p>\n

This is the perfect museum if you want to have fun while learning.<\/p>\n

In the Mus\u00e9e des Arts et M\u00e9tiers, you will find technological curiosities of all kinds -scientific instruments, tools, constructions, communication, energy, mechanics and means of transportation.<\/p>\n

You can visit this museum on your own with an audio guide, choosing between one of the many different routes, which have varying lengths. The one hour route is perfect for people who get quickly tired of museums. They will discover the 30 most important objects in the museum.<\/p>\n

You will recognize these unmissable objects thanks to their red labels. The more curious amongst you can follow the yellow labels as well as the red ones, which indicate the 75 most important objects in the museum. The most enthusiastic can visit this museum without paying attention to the labels at all!<\/p>\n

Discover the mysteries of sciences, but do not worry, this will be much more fun than science classes!<\/p>\n

Demonstrations, exhibits, interactive experiments\u2026 There are lots of things to see in the Cit\u00e9 des Sciences. We recommend you not to miss the planetarium (only for children over 6). If you buy a ticket for the Palais de la D\u00e9couverte you will just need to pay 3 extra euros to visit the planetarium.<\/p>\n

From Tuesday to Friday, there are two sessions a day -at 3:15pm and 4:30pm.<\/p>\n

Good to know: there are two other sessions on Saturdays and Sundays (11:30am and 2pm).<\/p>\n

There is a shopping center just next to the Cit\u00e9 des Sciences where you can find plenty of restaurants and fast foods. But before eating, the bravest of you can also learn how to fly!<\/p>\n

Indeed, amongst all the shops, there is a 14-meter-high glass column operated by a company called iFLY. You can experience a free-fall flight thanks to its blower (you will be with a professional don\u2019t worry).<\/p>\n

Careful: to experience a free-fall flight you will need to book in advance. Furthermore, it is a bit expensive: 49.90 euros for a first flight.<\/p>\n

Free activities in La Villette<\/h3>\n

If you are there on a sunny day, do not hesitate to visit the park. You and your family can relax by the Canal de l’Ourcq<\/a> and take in the scenery – there are often original and free exhibitions.<\/p>\n

Finally, climb the slope reaching the Philharmonie belvedere and enjoy a nice view of Paris.<\/p>\n

The view is even better at sunset. This is why they have decided to organize night-time visits on Friday nights, where the Philharmonie belvedere is open until sunset.<\/p>\n
