A Quick History<\/h2>\n

Commissioned by Napoleon Bonaparte in 1806<\/b> after his victory at Austerlitz, the Arc de Triomphe was meant to celebrate French military power.<\/p>\n

But here\u2019s a fun fact: Napoleon never saw it completed<\/b>.<\/p>\n

The monument wasn\u2019t finished until 1836<\/b>, long after he was exiled and had passed away.<\/p>\n

It has since become a symbol of French resilience, commemorating both historical battles and the fallen soldiers of World War I<\/b>.<\/p>\n
