Rue des Gravilliers is a small street in the Marais, but it has one of the richest histories in Paris.<\/p>\n

It dates back to the thirteenth century<\/b>, when this whole area was still a working-class neighborhood filled with craftspeople, workshops, and tiny family-run shops. For centuries, it wasn\u2019t fancy at all \u2013 it was simply a busy urban street where people lived, worked and carried on with everyday life.<\/p>\n

Today, the Marais is one of Paris\u2019s trendiest districts, and Rue des Gravilliers shows exactly how the neighborhood transformed without losing its soul.<\/p>\n

That mix of \u201cold Paris\u201d and \u201cnew Paris\u201d is probably a big part of the reason why Time Out voted it the 13th coolest street in the world<\/b> for 2025.<\/p>\n
