But this street is also very old\u2014some buildings date back to the Middle Ages.<\/p>\n<p>If you want to feel the energy of old Paris mixed with modern life, Rue de la Huchette is the place. You can feel the history just by walking up the hill.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s quieter than other streets, and because it\u2019s on a slope, you get nice views of the rooftops around the Latin Quarter.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"instagram-media\" style=\"background: #FFF;
