<strong>capital city of the Basque Country.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It is built where the Nive and the Adour meet and is <strong>mapped by small canals.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Stroll through the narrow streets of <strong>old medieval Bayonne<\/strong> or walk along the beautiful <strong>Basque colored houses.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Visit its famous Gothic cathedral, recently renovated and listed as a <strong>magnificent 3km long fine sandy beach<\/strong> (with its famous rocks: the twins), and a <strong>superb view of the Pyrenees<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Most of the seaside houses are listed for their <strong>architecture<\/strong>, such as in the rue des Citronniers or the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.guide-du-paysbasque.com\/en\/tourism\/meeting\/working-cafes-coliving\/biarritz-53\/maison-rouge-biarritz-7233.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Maison Rouge<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Take a detour via the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.guide-du-paysbasque.com\/en\/tourism\/discover\/tourist-sites\/nature-reserve\/hendaye-66\/corniche-d-hendaye-7039.html\" you can climb on foot or by riding a little train (which has been active since 1924).<\/p>\n<p>From the top, you will have a <strong>360-degree view of the Atlantic Ocean, the Pyrenees, the landscape of the Basque Country, and the landscape of Les Landes.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You will also have a chance to spot <strong>local wildlife<\/strong>, like red-headed sheep or pottocks (pronounced
