When you reach the <strong>Champ de Mars<\/strong>, you can start walking towards the Eiffel Tower. You will get to see the Grand Palais \u00c9ph\u00e9m\u00e8re, the Human Rights Monument, and the ponds. Soon enough you will reach the <strong>Eiffel Tower garden<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>After taking a moment to admire the Eiffel Tower, you can cross the Seine on the <strong>pont d\u2019I\u00e9na <\/strong>to reach the Trocad\u00e9ro gardens and, finally, the <strong>Trocad\u00e9ro plaza<\/strong> itself.<\/p>\n<p>The walk will last <strong>around an hour<\/strong> (or a little more if you are walking leisurely). Then you can check out <strong>Place Louis Aragon <\/strong>at the western tip of the island and cross the <strong>Pont Saint-Louis <\/strong>that connects the two islands.<\/p>\n<p>Next, walk on the quays alongside the Notre-Dame Cathedral in the direction of the pont d\u2019Arcole, the pont Notre-Dame, and the <strong>Tour de l\u2019Horloge of the Palais de la Cit\u00e9<\/strong>. If you continue towards the <strong>Sainte-Chapelle <\/strong>and walk alongside the quays, you will reach <strong>Place Dauphine<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>You will end your stroll at the famous <strong>Saule Pleureur de la Pointe <\/strong>(The Weeping Willow of the Tip) at the western tip of the \u00cele de la Cit\u00e9. Walk up towards <strong>passerelle des Douaniers<\/strong>, which connects the two quays. You will now have to choose one, but don&#8217;t worry &#8211; <strong>several footbridges<\/strong> connect them, so you can cross at any time.<\/p>\n<p>We recommend walking north along the canal: you will pass by a few <strong>locks<\/strong>, footbridges, and quite a few <strong>cheap restaurants <\/strong>on the quays.
