Paris is not really known for its cleanliness. With the graffiti on the walls, the rubbish on the pavements, the dog excretions and the dirtiness of the underground<\/strong>, the city is often denounced for its lack of cleanliness.<\/p>\n

As in any large city, the cleanliness depends on the area.<\/strong> Tourist areas such as the Champs \u00c9lys\u00e9es<\/strong> are cleaned by private contractors<\/strong> and are often considered the priority areas for cleaning.<\/p>\n

London is not a model for cleanliness either. There is also rubbish<\/strong> on the pavements. Just as in Paris, tourist areas are cleaner than less-known areas. For example, the Mayfair<\/strong> district, located in the City of Westminster, is a clean area.<\/p>\n
