The national forest of Rambouillet<\/strong><\/a> has a 14,000 hectares surface. There, you will find many activities to keep you occupied. If you like hiking<\/strong>, you will find what you are looking for in this forest, with its 92 km of hiking trails, 60 km of cycling tracks<\/strong> and its bridle paths.<\/p>\n

Take a walk around the ponds of La Tour and Le Perray<\/strong><\/a> (French website), connected by an aqueduct, and admire the landscapes. This 13.8 km walk takes about 3 hours and 30 minutes<\/strong>. The most courageous may walk all around the ponds of Rambouillet<\/strong><\/a> (French website) and discover the castle park. This 24 km hike takes about 6 hours<\/strong> to complete.<\/p>\n

Cyclists can ride a bike<\/strong><\/a> through the forest. Walk along the ponds<\/strong> of Hollande, Perray-en-Yvelines and Les Br\u00e9viaires during a 3-hour<\/strong> ride. For a longer hike, you can start at the Ch\u00e2teau de Rambouillet <\/strong>and ride through the forest. Come back by the Drouette valley. This walk will keep you busy for almost 4 hours<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

You can also take part in guided hikes<\/strong>, get information on the website<\/strong><\/a>. Do not forget to bring a backpack with the necessary items<\/strong> (water, snacks, warm clothing, etc).<\/p>\n

Finally, take a walk in the Espace Rambouillet<\/strong><\/a>, along trails (French website). If you are discreet, you may have the chance to catch sight of deers<\/strong>, hinds<\/strong> or boars<\/strong>. You can also discover the forest of eagles<\/strong>, where you will have the opportunity to discover more than 30 such species.<\/p>\n

To visit the Espace Rambouillet, expect to pay about \u20ac15 for an adult ticket in high season, and \u20ac10 in low season.<\/p>\n

In this former hunting ground<\/strong> with 850 hectares surface<\/strong>, you will find pedestrian walkways, 28 km of bridle paths <\/strong>and 15 km of cycling routes. You can also enjoy picnic areas<\/strong>, children\u2019s playgrounds, restaurants, etc. You can also rent bicycles or small boats<\/strong> to go on the Lac Inf\u00e9rieur<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Within the Bois de Boulogne, you can visit various parks including the Parc de Bagatelle<\/strong><\/a>, one of the capital\u2019s botanical gardens<\/strong>. If you are an athletic person<\/strong>, start your walk from the Bois du Crot du Loup<\/strong> and walk along the paths of the Nemours national forest. Between rocky landscapes and sandy sea<\/strong>, you will have the opportunity to discover several loop routes, from 4 km to 8 km.<\/strong> You will walk for about 2 hours.<\/p>\n
