If you want to leave your car at the garage to discover Rouen, it is possible and perfectly doable! The city’s public transportation is very efficient and will allow you to reach the main touristic attractions as well as the beautiful suburbs rapidly and safely. Buses operate in the city as well as two tramway lines that will allow you to cross the river in a couple of minutes. One ticket costs 1,60 euros and we recommand a 10 or 20 travels pass if you intend to take the tramway or the bus on a regular basis during your vacations. More information here. If you feel like cycling, you will enjoy the Cy’clic system: from 5am to 1am, you can borrow a bicycle and enjoy the city like a real Rouennais! A 1-day ticket costs 1 euro and a 7-day ticket costs 5 euros. The final price can be more expensive if you use your bicycle for more than 30 minutes at a time, but Rouen is not that big and you probably won’t need your bicycle for more than 30 minutes at a time!
